1937 00-18
This Old Martin is just "sort of" for sale.  If I got an offer I couldn't refuse, I might let it go.
I have never seen a cooler vintage Martin than this one.  In fact, every person who sees it says, "man, that's the coolest old Martin I've ever seen!"
And the sound is just amazing for such a small body.  I know of at least three guys who sell and / or repair
more character than roomful of monks!  Who knows where this old thing has been played over it's 73 years on earth.  I may not sell it, but if I do, whoever is lucky enough to own this jewel will know they have the guitar of a lifetime.
Below are some high resolution pictures and then a detailed description of every aspect of this great old Martin.
BACK - there are quite a few scratches and a couple of repaired cracks.
SIDES - they are in pretty good shape.  Some scratches is about it other than at the top by the heel, there is a piece of mahagony spliced in where an inadequate repair was once done.  The picture above shows they way it USED to look.  Now you can see where the new piece is, but only if you're looking for it.

NECKit had a reset just a couple of months ago..

FRETBOARD - it is in excellent condition.

FRETS - they are new and in great shape.

ACTION - it has been professionally set up and is ready to play.

TUNERS - They are brand new Waverlys.  Really nice.

STRAP PIN ON HEEL - yes.

HEADSTOCKthe front and back are in great condition.
FRONT - as you can see,  there are numerous scratches and lots of play wear.

PICKGUARD - it is original.

BRIDGE it is new and a new maple bridgeplate was also installeld.

BRIDGE PINS - Tusq man made ivory.

PICK UP - it has a brand new K & K Pure Western Mini Pickup.  It has a quarter inch jack in the end pin.  The K & K is installed on the bridge plate by three velcrow attatchments.   The sound through the pickup is amazingly natural.  However, you will need a pre-amp as the pickup doesn't have a battery inside the guitar.
INSIDE THE SOUND HOLE - it is very clean.

CASE - it is the nicest case I've ever had.  It is heavy duty, very padded, nice leather handle and this 00 fits in there nice and snug.

The 2009 Official Vintage Guitar Price Guide shows a 1937 00-18 in excellent condition to have a value of $6700.
This guitar needs no work.  It is set up and ready to play.  it is the coolest guitar I've ever seen.  It is the best sounding 00-18 I've ever played.  I may not sell it, but if I do, it will take $6500 to pry it away from me!
There are 5 ways you can pay for a guitar...
1.  Send a personal check.  After it goes through (which could take 7 days or          so), I will ship you the guitar.
2.  Send a bank cashier's check (also known as a bank check and bank draft           among other terms.)  I will ship you the guitar immediately.
3.  Send a money order (you can usually get them at the post office, banks            and credit unions.)  I will ship the guitar immediately.
4.  PayPal.  The good part is that it is fast and I can ship the guitar out                   immediately.  The bad part is that they charge a 2.9% transaction                PayPal, I'll do it if you will split the cost of the transaction fee with me.
5.  Cash.  If you're in the area (central Oklahoma) and want to come and               play the guitars and / or pick one up, cash is fine.
